Membership Costs and Programme
We prefer people to pay monthly, all the details will be in the joining email. Our membership fee is inclusive of the events and camps during the term as part of the programme to achieve the top award.
Our membership is £240 per annum for Scouts and Explorers, payable £20 per month.
For Squirrels, Beavers and Cubs it’s £180 per annum, payable £15 per month.
We do offer extra events/ camps that are not part of the programme and are subject to a small additional charge, typically the cost value to the group these typically include the Group Camp in May and visits to gullivers world.
We offer a support fund which opens 1st December and closes on 16th December, which is 10% of the proceeds from our Bonfire in November, details are sent out on how to apply. The trustees will decide on who will recieve the support and it is done by way of discount to the annual membership cost by way of a lower monthly payment. Please read the policy below prior to applying.
Parental Support and Fundraising
We expect parents as a minimum to help out once per term at a session, if you can’t make the weekly night then we have camps and other events on where you can help out. We are 100% volunteer led and run and all the stuff we do only occurs due to our amazing volunteer leaders and supportive parents.
You will see a link within Online Scout Manager to sign up to sessions during the term so please do.
You can also sign up to join our wonderful volunteer teams, speak with a section leader or use the contact us page to find out more!
Uniform and Badge Placement
We are 2nd Heald Green Scout Group, which all our sections sit under. Our Group sits within the Three Brooks District which is made up of other scout groups like us. Our district sits within Greater Manchester East Scout County, made up of similar districts. The county provides our leader training and other governance aspects.
Please ensure your child wears their uniform jumper (Squirrels/ Beavers/ Cubs) or Scout Shirt or Explorer Hoodie each session and they wear their Necker.
We supply the group necker (Yellow and Royal Blue edge) plus the Group Badges. If you require Group Necker or Badge replacements head to the shop to purchase via the button below. If you have just joined we typically invest within 4 weeks of joining so please ensure you obtain the uniform. Search Scouts Shops for options as there are several for uniform we don’t provide it or sell it on our shop!
