About 2nd Heald Green
2nd Heald Green Scout Group has been part of the local community since 1960, helping generations of young people develop confidence, independence and skills for life.
Based at our Scout headquarters on Brown Lane, we have access to a large outdoor field and activity area, allowing us to offer a wide range of activities right on our doorstep.
Our Group is run entirely by volunteers who give their time to provide exciting programmes, camps, activities and opportunities for young people aged 4 to 18.

Being part of the local community is an important part of Scouting at 2nd Heald Green.
Throughout the year, our young people and volunteers take part in a variety of community activities, including:
- Looking after planters on Finney Lane.
- Litter picking and environmental projects.
- Supporting the Heald Green Festival.
- Taking part in local Christmas markets.
- Fundraising and community events.
- Hosting our annual Bonfire and Fireworks Night.
We also organise an annual bedding plant sale to help raise funds for our Group.
These activities help young people understand the importance of giving back while supporting the community that has supported us for more than 65 years.
